Cast:
John T. Aney
(Gooper) is happy to be making his debut at Calaveras Rep. John holds an MA
from Indiana University and a certification in Acting and Directing from the
Moscow Art Theatre. Recent South Bay performances include Gordon in
Nieville's Island, Bernard in Arcadia, Tony in This Day and Age, and Sir
Jasper Fidget in The Country Wife. A native Oregonian, John was one of the
founding members of Tyger's Heart Shakespeare Company in Portland.
Jack Codd
(Rev. Tooker) last appeared at Calaveras Rep. in A Midsummer Night's Dream
in the roles of Ageus and Starveling. He has performed at many Northern
California Theatres, including the Noh Space and The Cable Car Theatre. Jack
received his B. A. in Theatre from SFSU.
Ron Evans*
(Big Daddy) was seen most recently as Baptista in the Center Repertory
Theatre production of The Taming of the Shrew and as Pa Joad in the
TheatreWorks production of The Grapes of Wrath. Ron has performed at many
other Bay Area theatres including the California Shakespeare Festival at
Lake Tahoe and the Aurora Theatre Company. He has recently returned from
performing in The Music Man with the Cherry County Playhouse in Muskegon,
Michigan.
James G. Mantell
(Doc Baugh) is making his first appearance with Calaveras Rep. He has
performed with the Menlo Players Guild and the Festival Theatre Ensemble,
where he recently appeared as Aegeon in The Comedy of Errors, Cleon in
Perecles, and Gonzalo in The Tempest.
Phoebe Moyer*
(Big Mama) is the winner of three Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards and
two Dean Goodman Choice Awards. She has performed for TheatreWorks, Theater
Artists of Marin, Marin Theatre Company, College of Marin, American
Citizen's Theatre, Pacific Alliance, Sierra Rep, Marin Shakespeare Company,
Willows Theatre, and others. Her favorite roles include Martha in Who's
Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Maria Callas in Master Class, and Daisy Werthen
in Driving Miss Daisy.
Chris Pflueger*
(Brick) has been acting in the Bay Area for the last four years. Recently he
has been seen in Sex Club Shakespeare's All Well That Ends Well, Last Planet
Theatre's The Lament of the Wolfbat, and SF Shakespeare Festival's touring
version of The Taming of the Shrew. He also has taken a leading role in the
film Coffee and Language, which is showing at film festivals around the
country. Chris holds a Master's degree in Japanese Literature.
Eryka Raines
(Mae) is appearing in her first show with Calaveras Rep. She has previously
performed with Napa Valley Shakespeare Festival, ACT, and Word for
Word, with whom she recently toured France.
Deborah Taylor*
(Maggie) is pleased to be making her first appearance with CRT in Cat on a
Hot Tin Roof. Locally she has worked at San Jose Stage, TheatreWorks, Center
Repertory Theatre, The Actor's Theatre, Columbia Actor's Repertory, and The
Willows Theatre. She is a graduate of Drama Studio London and The
Shakespeare Studio, London. She was recently seen at Murphy's Creek playing
Desdemona in Othello and Celia in As You Like It.
