South Bay Scene Nights
Playwrights in the South Bay are getting a
major boost to help them hone their craft at monthly Scene Nights in
the South Bay.Calaveras Repertory Theatre in Milpitas has
received an Arts Council Silicon Valley grant for monthly Scene Nights
to encourage new talent and nurture new work in the coming year. South
Bay Scene Nights features professional actors doing cold readings of
scripts, followed by short facilitated discussion/critique sessions to
help playwrights pinpoint issues to address in rewrites.
Upcoming Scene Nights are on Mondays September 10, October 2, November
5 and December 3 at 7 PM at Calaveras Repertory Theatre, 1331 E.
Calaveras Boulevard, Milpitas.
