Ron Evans – Vladimir
Ron was seen
most recently as Big Daddy in the Calaveras Rep production of Cat on a
Hot Tin Roof, as Baptista in the Center Repertory Theatre's Taming
of the Shrew and as Pa Joad in the TheatreWorks production of
Grapes of Wrath. Ron has performed in many other Bay Area theatres
including the California Shakespeare Festival, Berkeley Rep, Willows Theatre
Company, AmeRican CitiZens TheatRE, Pacific Rep, San Francisco Shakespeare
Festival at Lake Tahoe, and the Aurora Theatre Company.
Melbourne Fauvor
– Boy
Melbourne is
proud to be making his debut with Calaveras Rep. Melbourne was most recently
seen as The Cockroach in Wendy Hunter's production of The Bug Hunter.
He also played the title role in Gwendolyn Skeens' operetta, Tom Sawyer,
and played Kermit the Frog in Jim Henson's The Muppet Show.
When Melbourne is not acting, he enjoys baseball, skateboarding, and
snowboarding.
Bill Olson –
Lucky
Bill Olson is pleased to return to CRT after playing
Launcelot Gobbo "Merchant of Venice." Bill has performed with TheatreWorks,
City Lights Theatre Company and the Bus Barn Stage Company. He also recently
started collaborating with the award winning puppetry company Lunatique
Fantastique, working as a lead puppeteer in "Brace Yourself" (Winner Best of
Fringe, 2001) and "The Wrapping Paper Caper." Bill is also a professional
juggler and a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
Peter Schmuckal –
Estragon
Peter is delighted to be making his first appearance
with Calaveras Repertory Theatre. He was seen most recently as Papa in Santa
Cruz Shakespeare's Gretel and Hansel. Prior tothis, he spent three
seasons with Marin Shakespeare where has played numerous featured roles
including Touchstone, Gratiano, and Pistol in Henry V for which he
won a Dean Goodman Choice award. Other favorite roles include Polixenes in
The Winter's Tale, Guildenstern in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are
Dead, Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sam Byck in
Assassins, and Rudolph Kammerling in TheatreWorks' award winning
production of Once in a Lifetime.
Mark Rafael Truitt –
Pozzo
Mark was last
seen at the Magic Theatre, playing Erwin Schrodinger in Schrodinger's
Girlfriend. Prior to that, he appeared at the Bay Area Playwrights
Festival in Venus Opal Williams' Redemption. He was seen as a Yaley
in James Cameron's "Titanic", and among his Television credits are "The
Practice", "Star Trek: Voyager", and "Babylon 5". His stage roles have
ranged from Dorian Gray at Chicago's Wisdom Bridge Theatre to Betram in
All's Well That Ends Well at American Stage, Florida. He is a graduate
from the Yale School of Drama.
The Artistic Staff
John Ribovich –
Director and Artistic Director
John Ribovich is the Founding Director of Calaveras
Repertory Theatre. He has directed over 50 productions in the Bay Area,
including the Bay Area stage premiere of E/R (Emergency Room). He is a
playwright (his Christmas with the Brothers Grimm was staged for two
straight years at Calaveras Rep), poet (his work has appeared in dozens of
journals here and abroad) and journalist (recent articles have appeared in
American Bungalow and Style 1900). He has also taught Drama and English to
students of all ages for the last 20 years.
Garrett Johnson –
Stage Manager
Garrett is
happy to be working for Calaveras Rep in this, his first, production with
the company. Garrett was most recently seen in the Bay Area as Quince in the
California Theatre Center's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream
and as Sebastian in their production of Twelfth Night. Mr. Johnson
has also appeared as Pale in Burn This, Henry in The Real Thing,
Moss in Glengarry Glen Ross, and Eddie in A Fool for Love.
He is a graduate from Oklahoma State University.
Nam Nguyen –
Lighting Designer
Nam studied theatrical design at Santa Clara
University and has created theatre/industrial lighting and set concepts in
the Milpitas community for the past eight years. Since 1996, Nam has been
the resident lighting designer for Calaveras Rep, where he recently designed
the lights for Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. He has also designed for the
BusBarn Theatre in Los Altos and served as the designer for the Milpitas
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony for the past two holiday seasons.
Rebecca Eagleson –
Costume Designer
Rebecca recently received a B.A. - Theatre Arts from
Rockford College (IL) after studying theatre in London, Wisconsin, and
Illinois. Costume Design credits include Rogers and Hammerstein's
Cinderella (Waukesha Civic Theatre), The Boys Next Door (Lunt-Fontanne
Ensemble), and several student projects. Also skilled as a Costume
Technician, she is currently a Costume Shop Lead at a local theme park. A
native Californian, Rebecca is proud to make her West Coast "debut" in the
Bay Area.
Greg Hubbard –
Associate Director
Greg has worked in various capacities for a variety
of theatres in the Bay Area, including TheatreWorks, California Shakespeare
Festival, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Marin Theatre Company and Los
Altos Youth Theatre. Previously, Greg spent several years in New York City
as an actor and director before attending Ohio University, where he received
his MFA in Directing. As an actor, Greg has worked at Shakespeare Santa
Cruz, PCPA TheatreFest, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Porthouse Theatre,
Theatre at Monmouth, Summer Repertory Theatre and Mill Mountain Theatre,
among others. Greg is also the Education Director at Marin
Shakespeare Company.
